Nine crew members came to visit us at the mission; walking around, checking things out. They think it is so funny that almost every non-food item they see in the store is made in China, including the perfume we sell in the store.
They did buy though; lots of cookies ( not made in China ). When they paid I noticed that one of the sailors( the second one on the left ) had also collected a few Chinese language ' Today ' booklets. When he told me that he was the only Christian on board, I asked him to take a Jesus movie with him and show it to the rest of the crew. He gladly accepted the DVD. When I also offered him the very popular Chinese/English New Testament he declined saying he already had a Bible. However, the fellow beside him was interested and took it with him to the ship.
The crew left with big smiles on their faces as we said farewell. Just imagine what the Holy Spirit can do through that DVD and N.T. on that ship and beyond in family or village in far-a-away China!
